INDIVIDUAL EVENTS : Each school can send maximum Eight (8) entries in Seniors, Juniors and Eight Entries in Juniors.
TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS: Each school can send only ONE TEAM of 5 players for the Team Event for Boys and ONE TEAM of 4 players for Girls in the Senior and Sub-Junior Team Championship. Should there be less than 8 schools in the boys event and 6 schools in the girls event, the event stands cancelled.
IDENTITY CARD:
a) The School is required to prepare an Identity Card (physical/hard copy) for every
participant and accompanying official/coach/teacher/sports coordinator. The required format for the ID card has been attached to the tournament email that was sent to you. Do not edit the standard contents of the ID card.
i) be sure to add a latest passport size colour photograph
ii) fill all accurate details of the participant and accompanying official/coach/teacher/sports coordinator.
iii) all ID cards are required to be attested by the School’s authority - Principal/Vice Principal/Headmaster/Headmistress/or Supervisor
iv) the ID card has to be possessed at all times during the course of the tournament.
b) The MSSA Registration Number printed on the card will remain permanent through the course of the tournament.
c) Every player participating in the competition/event must carry his/her Identity Card and should produce the same on demand before the commencement of every match to the Official, Referee or Venue-In-charge. This is mandatory, failing which, they will not be allowed to take part in the competition / event.
d) Players will only be permitted to enter the Court after the Identity Cards, duly filled in, are deposited with the Venue-In-Charge or the Umpire/Referee-in-Charge of the match.
Please Note: “No Card No Participation”. (The teacher/coach must be present at the time of checking and during the match or the participant may not be allowed to play.
NOTE: Identity cards issued to the Teachers/Sports Teachers/Coaches will be valid till he or she represents that particular school.
Competitors must report along with the Sports-in-charge 15 minutes before the commencement of their game to the Hon. Referee, failing to report at the prescribed time the Secretary/Hon. Referee has the right to refuse participation.
Accredited Sports Teacher/Coaches holding MSSA School Official Identity Card could be present during the preparation of the draws.
All the matches in the team Championship will be played as under-

Doubles
B V/s Y
Individual Events- Each match upto Q/Final will be best of 5 games of 11 points and from Q/Finals onwards will be best of 7 games of 11 pts. Each. In the team Championship all matches will be played in the best of 5 games.
Seedings - Seedings will be given by the Technical Committee.
Players Uniform- A player must wear shorts, pants/skirts and ‘T’ Shirts. Yellow/Orange/White Colour ‘T’ Shirts will not be permitted. Players will not be allowed to play Bare feet, he/she should wear Tennis/Sports shoes. In no case, leather shoes will be allowed.
All matches will be played in accordance with the laws of Table-Tennis as laid by the Table- Tennis Federation of India and adopted by MSSA.
Headmasters/Headmistresses are requested to send a Teacher-in-charge with the players who will be responsible for the good behavior of his charge. The name of the Teacher-in-charge should be entered in the Entry Form. Enquiries or complaints made by him/her only will be entertained by the Organizers.
The Team Captain must report to the Hon. Referee immediately on arrival. In the Singles Event, all players must report 15 minutes before the time fixed for the matches according to the draw. The players must quote the number appearing in the draw, name and school to which they belong when reporting.
The Secretary/ Hon. Referee may fix any matches to be played on any other tables, if necessary.
The Organizing Secretary along with the Hon. Referees will be the final authority regarding walk-over, which cannot be claimed by any competitor as a matter of right.
The decision of the tournament committee on all matters connected with the tournament will be final and binding.
If any Competitor/Team wishes to withdraw after the draw is made, no refund shall be made and the money shall be forfeited.
Every competitor present on the court shall be bound if called by the Secretary/Hon. Referee to Umpire at least one match.
Protest: Any protest, if at all lodged, must be done through the accredited Sports-in-Charge/Teacher-in-Charge/Coach of the team within half an hour of the conclusion of the match along with the protest Fee of Rs.5,000/-. The said protest should be endorsed by the Head of the School within 24 hours after the conclusion of the match. In case if the 24 hours falls on a Sunday or a Holiday, then it must be brought before 12.00 noon on the following day. The protest must be handed over to the Game Secretary.
Please Note: The protest once decided by the Executive Committee of the Association will be final and binding and shall not be disputed by any of the parties concerned in any forum thereafter.
TROPHIES / SHIELDS / CUPS :
It is resolved that since the Association’s Trophies /Shields / Cups are very old, valuable, precious and have sentimental value, the practice of allowing the school to carry away the Trophies / Shields / Cups will be continued by signing a BOND between the winning school and the Association. The Trophies / Shields / Cups will be presented to the recipient at the Prize Distribution Function of the respective EVENTS and will be allowed to be taken by the winning school and kept in possession for a week (7 days) only and the same will returned to the Association’s office on expiry of the date of the Bond in the same condition as it was presented.
In case of any damage or loss of the Trophies / Shields / Cups, the winning school will have to pay the cost of the damage or loss of the said trophies / shields / cups valued at the present price.
However the trophies / shields / cups will not be given to student or parent but only to the accredited representative of the winning school on signing the Bond.
Prizes: Certificates and Medals will be awarded to the Winners, Runners-Up and Third Place.
VERY IMPORTANT: Headmasters/Headmistresses, being absolutely responsible when submitting the List of Players, must be very careful to see that the Dates of Birth are correctly entered as per the School General Register. Very often, though no fault of the Headmasters/Headmistress, Schools have been found fielding overage students and the schools have been disqualified. This brings disrepute to your school. Moreover a fine of Rs.5,000/- will be imposed on any school found fielding over aged players in any group. In case of school found fielding over aged players, the same will be notified to all Members Schools and made public through the press, after ratification by the Executive Committee.
Schools walking out of the competition or disrespecting Prize Distribution Ceremony will also be fined Rs. 5,000/- and action will be taken against the school as per the resolution of the Association.
HEADMASTERS/HEADMISTRESSES OF SCHOOLS ARE REQUESTED TO KINDLY PUT THIS ON THEIR NOTICE BOARDS AS WE FEEL IT WOULD BENEFIT THE PARTICIPANT AND WHAT IS EXPECTED OF THEM ON AND OFF THE FIELD. HEADS OF PARTICIPATING SCHOOLS/SPORTS-IN-CHARGE/COACHES SHOULD READ THE RULES AND REGULATIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE SENDING THE ENTRIES.
